Just fresh of the press, I’ve been blazin this tune all day long. Off course I’m talkin' H.A.M. baby! The very first single from hip-hop super duo Kanye & Jay’s upcoming album Watch the Throne. The buzz has been creeping around these last couple of days that the first single was ready to drop. With anouncements by the gentlemen themselves at afterparties in Vegas and artwork for the single popping up more than once.
1.11.11 is the day of the release and Facebook the medium. Great idea you would think, but ends up in leaving the site crashed for the first few hours due to popular demand. No wonder when everybody wants to hear the latest from the two legends in the game! I first got notice late August when Kanye posted the upcoming release of a 5 song album with Jay-Z called Watch the Throne on Twitter. Straight away I tried to find if there were any leaks around or if I could catch a snippet somewhere, but NOOO. My suffering was eased with the G.O.O.D Friday releases from Kanye, releasing a new song every Friday between August and Christmas to be downloaded for free from his website.
But still there is something magical when these two giants get together. History proves the soulful beats from The Blueprint and totally fresh flows from College Dropout. Not even mentioning the already classical My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and basically almost everything these heavyweights laid their voices on or had their name on it. YES I’m a fan, so what!
The idea of Kanye West and Jay-Z working on a mini-album, GREAT! Now hearing that it’s gonna be a full complete album, FUCK YEAH! It’s just like discovering that Karl and Coco are making a one of piece together and it’s yours to keep. Can you imagine the sleepless nights. The album should drop 1st of March so be just a little more patient and there is now H.A.M. to keep you indulged.
With the ever so consistent flows from Jay and always refreshing/smack in your face sounds from Kanye this is definitely something to be on the look out for. West said in a recent interview that the album is "going to be very dark and sexy, like couture hip-hop". It sounds as obvious as it is, so I can’t wait.
