The best things in life are sometime the most simple things in life. Just a good plate of food, couple of drinks and great company can go a very long way. This is what Scott Schuman a.k.a. The Sartorialist must have thought in the first place. After visiting a small Trattoria in Florence with Garance Dore a year ago he had an idea to place the best dressed guys he shot along the way in this great rustic and diverse setting.
“Get my favorite guys together in one room, it would be so much fun. These guys have so much in common and yet, for most of them, their paths never cross. Just imagine, someone like Gianluca, with his dreadlocks and modern-minimalist aesthetic sitting next to Lino, with his old-school Italian charm…. Mr. Kurino and Simone Righi discussing their first suit, Kanye and Terron talking about whatever it is those two super funny characters could dream up… I’m just guessing, but I bet these guys would really hit it off. What a great way to forge new friendships.”
What started as a crazy spontaneous idea became reality during past fashion week in Florence. A mixed crowd all having the same passion, dressed to kill and each in their very own way. I could only imagine the setting, the conversations at the table, drinks and food going back and forth, it’s almost like a Scorsese movie.
